Former rural township residents turn out to discuss April 8 vote

Questions remain to be answered, but sentiment favoring the re-establishment of the former Mitchell Township was strong at Tuesday night’s public hearing at the Davison County Fairgrounds.
About 85 residents of the former township turned out to hear arguments for returning the unincorporated section of Davison County to township status and thus return it to local control. They will have an opportunity to put the issue to a vote on April 8.
